METHODS OF MULTIPLICATION:-

Saturday, July 04, 2020

Vedic maths helps you realize your dream and that's why these maths sutras we are becoming popular.

Let us now try to understand one of the most popular sutras on multiplication-"the Base Method of Multiplication".

In Vedic maths, multiplication methods are of two kinds: One which can be applied only to special cases and another which can be applied to all the cases. The first kind is important because you can plug them in where the first doesn't work. We will explore both types of multiplication in this blog.

The Base Method Of Multiplication:-

This method of multiplication is used to multiply numbers very close to powers of 10, like 10, 100, 1000, 10000, and so on.
In the beginning, we learn the fundamentals, so we stick with single-digit figures, but as soon as we master multiplying single-digit figures we will move on to solving double-digit and triple-digit figures as well.

So let's kick off with the sum 9 8.
Now we all know that the answer is 72. It's not rocket science. But, as I said, we will first learn the fundamentals with single-digit figures before moving on to bigger digits. So please bear with me.

METHODS OF SUBTRACTING:-

Friday, July 03, 2020

 Hello Friends,

Today we are going to discover or encounter the second simple application of Mathematics is " Subtraction".

So why not making subtraction simple?

so, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a new math sutra for subtractions.
"ALL from 9 and last from 10".

let's learn its application.

At this point, I would like to share something. This method will apply to all powers of Ten like 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000, etc.
This is an easy way to subtract from base numbers like these.

Subtraction Using All from 9 and last from 10:-

Example-1.  1000 - 283 =?

Here we solve left to right and not from right to left and we will apply the maths sutra for subtractions, All from 9 and last from 10.

STEP-1. The math sutra is all from 9 and last from 10, which means that when subtracting we will subtract all numbers from 9 but the last one from 10.

    9 - 2 = 7

STEP-2.  In the second step, we again subtract 8 from 9. So we have

   9 - 8 = 1

STEP-3.  In our last step, we will now subtract from 10. So we subtract 3 from 10.

 10 - 3 = 7

So our answer is 717.

What Is Division?

Monday, June 29, 2020

"The division is a method of distributing a group of things into equal parts. It is one of the four basic operations of arithmetic, which gives a fair result of sharing".

"The Division is an operation inverse of Multiplication".

Let suppose, if 5 groups of 6 make 30 in multiplication; 30 divided into 5 equal groups give 6 in groups in division.

"The main goal of the division is to see how many equal groups or how many in each group when sharing fairly".

For Example:-

There are 30 marbles and 5 boxes, how to put 30 marbles into Five(5) equal-sized boxes.

So, 30 divided by 5 =?

Therefore, 6 marbles should be kept in each Box.

Mathematical Notation For Division:-

There are various signs which can be used to indicate division such as

"Signs of Division".

    For Example:-

  • 8/2 = 4.
  • 16➗2 = 8.

Special Names For Each Character In Division:-

Each part involved in a division equation has a special name.

Dividend:- The dividend is the number that is being divided into the division process.

Divisor:- The number by which dividends are being divided by is called Divisor.

Quotient:- A quotient is a result obtained in the division                                process.

Introduction To The Remainder:-

The remainder is the portion of the dividend is left over after division.

For Example:-

83 by 2, there is a leftover of 1.

It means 83 divided by 2 gives us Quotient = 41 and r = 1.

Here, 'r' is Remainder.

Special Facts About Division:-

  • When dividing something by 1 the answer will always be the original. It means if the divisor is 1, the quotient will always be equal to the dividend such as 10 divided by 1 is equal to 10.
  • Division by 0 is Undefined.
  • The division of the same dividend and divisor is always 1.                                   For Example 4➗4 = 1.

What Is Long Division:-

In Math, long division is a method used for dividing large numbers into groups of parts. Long division helps in breaking the division problem into a sequence of easier steps. Just like all division problems, a large number which is the dividend, is divided by another number is called the divisor, to give a result called the quotient and sometimes a remainder.

How do you do long division?

The long division method involves basic math operations.

To divide two numbers using this method, a tableau is drawn. The divisor is written outside the right parenthesis, while the dividend is placed within. The quotient is written above the overbar on top of the dividend.

For Example:-       65➗5

Lond division involves 5 steps.

Check Your Answer:-

Dividend = Divisor ✖ Quotient + Remainder
